Arsenal have suffered a major setback with Bukayo Saka expected to be sidelined for up to four weeks after sustaining a hamstring injury in Saturday’s emphatic win over Leeds United.
According toBBC Sport’s Sami Mokbel, the 23-year-old England international will miss next weekend’s top-of-the-table clash against Liverpool at Anfield, as well as England’s upcoming international fixtures.
Saka, who has been a key figure in Mikel Arteta’s side, was forced off during the Leeds game, sparking immediate concerns among supporters. Medical assessments have since confirmed a hamstring problem, described as minor, but Arsenal are adopting a cautious approach to his recovery to prevent long-term damage.

Odegaard’s creativity and leadership would be a timely boost for Arteta, who may need to reshuffle his attack in Saka’s absence. Options include shifting Noni Madueke, Ethan Nwaneri or 15-year-old Max Dowman in the wider roles.
Arsenal are yet to issue an official statement on Saka’s injury, but Mokbel’s report suggests the winger will be carefully managed to ensure a full recovery. In contrast, Odegaard’s situation is being treated with greater optimism as the Gunners prepare for one of the biggest fixtures of the season.
