Nottingham Forest had a number of debutants on show in the 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon.

James McAtee impressed for Nottingham Forest in his short time on the pitch yesterday as he looked calm and composed in possession.

Omari Hutchinson and Arnaud Kalimuendo were also handed their first minutes in a red shirt, with both coming off the bench.

Dan Ndoye was the only summer signing who started, and he laid on the assist for Callum Hudson-Odoi’s goal.

With that said, Hudson-Odoi and Kalimuendo had a message for Ndoye after the game.

Ndoye produced another quality display for Forest yesterday as he picked out Hudson-Odoi with a sublime through ball, which carved open the Palace defence.

The £37m arrival from Bologna has already developed an understanding with his teammates, as he knew Hudson-Odoi was going to make that penetrative run in behind.

Ndoye took to Instagram after the game and said: “Good point away against Crystal Palace, we keep improving. Focus on the next one.”

Hudson-Odoi replied: “Playerrrr,” accompanied by three fire emojis.

Kalimuendo wrote: “Fort!” Which translates to strong in French.

Mats Sels added: “What a ball.”

Clearly, the Switzerland international has settled into the changing room quickly and is a well-liked member of the group.
