Fulham midfielder Andreas Pereira is edging closer to a Fulham exit, with multiple reports in Brazil pointing to significant progress in negotiations.
According to ESPN Brazil, the 29-year-old has ruled out renewing his contract with Fulham, which currently runs until 2026, and has opened the door to a return to Brazil.
While commentating on the game against Manchester United this Sunday, journalist João Castelo Branco went as far as to say that that Pereira’s departure from the London club “is close to being completed.”
André Hernan also reported that talks between Palmeiras and the midfielder’s camp are “going well,” with values being discussed in the €12m to €15m range. While Fulham have the option to extend for another year,as we previously reported, both the club and the player are not pursuing that path.
The situation is not without competition. ESPN Brazil revealed that Marseille are also keen on Andreas, with new coach Roberto De Zerbi an admirer of the Brazilian.
Even so, Palmeiras remain confident they are in a strong position to bring him back to Brazil before the window shuts in September.
