Bayern weighing up Hojlund loan
Bayern Munich are looking around the market for a back-up to Harry Kane. As per Florian Plettenberg, Hojlund’s name has been pushed Bayern’s way.
According to reports, the striker has been offered to the Bundesliga champions more than once. Although, no green light has been given yet. With just days left before the window shuts, Munich’s bosses must quickly decide if they want to take a gamble on the Dane. Napoli are also circling and would love to bring him back to Serie A on loan. So, that adds more heat to the situation.
Hojlund’s spell at Man United has been anything but smooth since his £72m switch from Atalanta last year. His return of four PL goals last season underlined his struggles in front of goal. Fans are still waiting to see the promise Utd paid for. His overall tally stands at 26 goals in 95 games. With Ruben Amorim now at the helm, the striker looks likely to leave this summer. That is especially after the club’s heavy investment in new forwards.
United to move on from the striker
The Red Devils summer spending spree has left little space for Hojlund. A fresh start at Bayern or Napoli could be exactly what he needs to kickstart his career again. Both clubs would give him less pressure and more space to grow. That is something he has clearly missed in Manchester.
