‘Today could be an important day’ for Liverpool player’s transfer – On way out of Anfield

On Sunday, Corriere dello Sport reported on AS Roma’s interest in Liverpool defender Kostas Tsimikas.

Gazzetta dello Sport had the same information, revealing that the Italian side are working on a loan deal for the left-back, who is on his way out of Anfield this summer.

Journalist Alfredo Pedulla reports more on Tsimikas today.

The Italian journalist claims ‘today could be an important day’ for the Liverpool player, as Roma’s interest is rising.

The Giallorossi are set to have held a meeting regarding the player, as they continue to consider a loan deal for the 29-year-old.

The journalist reports that the Greece international understands that he will not get much game time at Liverpool and is now seeking an exit, with Marseille also interested.

The Giallorossi are hunting for a back-up for Angelino in the market and even though they have other priorities, Tsimikas is emerging as a major option for them.

Corriere dello Sport claimed earlier on Monday that Roma owner Dan Friedkin is set to fly to the Italian capital soon and this can potentially unlock some transfers for Gian Piero Gasperini’s side.
