Four Manchester United statistics that make for grim reading

Manchester United failed to win at Fulham this weekend, continuing the club’s winless start to the Premier League season.

Despite the additions of a new-look frontline, Ruben Amorim has failed to find the winning formula. It continues a tough time for the Portuguese coach, since his appointment at Old Trafford. United are aiming to bounce back from their lowest-ever Premier League finish last term (15th), but still look short of finding consistent form.

Here are four statistics that make for grim reading for Manchester United.

Four Manchester United statistics that make for grim reading

Leny Yoro joined Manchester United from Lille in 2024. The French centre-back is a huge talent, but has still not started in a win over a current Premier League team.

Manchester United will hope it turns out similar to Gareth Bale’s ‘jinx’ at Tottenham.

Rio is floored by this Leny Yoro stat!

But finds a positive in it 💪

Amorim has now won less than a quarter of his Premier League games. Incredibly, it’s a win percentage matched by Neil Warnock, who has twice been relegated from the top tier.

24.1% – Ruben Amorim now has a Premier League win percentage of 24.1% (7 wins in 29 games), the exact same percentage as Neil Warnock (won 27 of 112 games), who was twice relegated from the Premier League. Worry. pic.twitter.com/4HfNUTncRv

Manchester United have won less Premier League points (6) than Leicester City since April. The Foxes were relegated from the Premier League last season. No current top-flight team has won fewer points in that time.

6 – Since the start of April, Manchester United have won fewer points than all other ever present Premier League clubs (6) and Leicester City, who now play in the Championship, have more Premier League points than they have in that time (8). Concerning. pic.twitter.com/C1bJ4zGMhL

Slow starts have not helped their cause. United have now blanked in the first 45 minutes in 29 games since the start of last season.

29 – Since the start of last season, Genoa (30) are the only team in Europe’s big five leagues who have failed to score a first-half goal in more games than Manchester United (29). Empty-handed. pic.twitter.com/R1d1mqvtyc
