Newcastle United have completed the signing of midfielder Morgan Gautrat on a loan deal until the end of the year.
WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Magpies this afternoon.
The 32-year-old American joins Newcastle United from National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) club Orlando Pride where she has spent the last 18 months. Gautrat was an NWSL Shield and Championship double-winner with The Pride in 2024.
Gautrat has had a long spell at the top level in America while she also enjoyed a venture into Europe with Lyon earlier in her career.
On the international stage, Gautrat has been capped by the United States on 88 occasions while she has scored eight goals. She has won two FIFA Women’s World Cups with The Stars and Stripes.
After joining Newcastle United on loan, Gautrat said “It has been a warm welcome, I feel like I’ve been welcomed with open arms, and people have told me nothing but nice things about the city and the fans.
“I’m at a point in my career where I want to be a leader and want to be part of making a mark and a legacy at a place like this, I’m at Newcastle to make history.”
Newcastle United kick-off the new Barclays WSL2 season with a fixture at Nottingham Forest on Sunday 7 September 2025.
