**Newcastle United could have received a last-minute boost ahead of tonight's grudge match against Liverpool at St James' Park, live on Sky Sports - Kick-off is at 8 pm.**
It's a game that needs no hype, with everybody already more than up for it thanks to all of the summer drama surrounding Alexander Isak.
On top of that, the Premier League champions will be seeking revenge for the defeat inflicted upon them at Wembley back in March as Newcastle United lifted the Carabao Cup at their expense.
Arne Slot has already lost Jeremie Frimpong to injury ahead of tonight's fixture, leaving them even more vulnerable at right-back than they would have been had he played. Frimpong's propensity to play high up the wing would have left them suitably exposed anyway, but without him, they're even more weakened. Harvey Barnes should have a good night.

Alexis Mac Allister reportedly has not travelled to Newcastle
-------------------------------------------------------------
It is now being reported that Argentine midfielder Alexis Mac Allister, one of Liverpool's most important players, has not travelled with the squad.
The rumours started when he wasn't spotted boarding the bus on a video posted online, and since then, the rumour has grown that Mac Allister's girlfriend is due to give birth, so he has stayed behind.
At the time of writing (11 am), there has been no confirmation either way, but if Mac Allister is missing, that would be a huge boost to Newcastle.
We'd probably fancy a win tonight if we had a goal scorer
---------------------------------------------------------
The Magpies dominated the midfield at Wembley, and without the Argentine in the team, we fully expect them to do so again tonight at St James' Park.
If we had confidence that we had someone capable of scoring, we'd probably go out on a limb and say we'll get a result tonight.
There's a strong possibility of a draw, but if we take a few speculative shots and play the odds, who knows what may happen. You can't win the lottery if you don't buy a ticket.
