Leeds United winger Largie Ramazani appears close to a loan move to Valencia, though the club’s CEO is refraining from commenting on specific players for now.
Valencia chief Ron Gourlay admitted his club is “looking at attacking positions” but would not be compelled into naming Ramazani per se. However, it is understood that the 24-year-old is on course for a switch to the Mestalla Stadium to complete a loan deal. There’s a possibility an option-to-buy clause is excluded from the terms.
Ramazani has dropped down the winger pecking order at Elland Road following the arrival of Noah Okafor and was left out of the squad to face Arsenal as a result. He also failed to come off the bench against Everton, with Jack Harrison instead replacing Wilfried Gnonto.
Ordinarily in such circumstances, Ramazani would be expected to make the squad for Tuesday’s League Cup clash with Sheffield Wednesday, with Daniel Farke set to rotate his set up. An omission would only confirm how far progress in talks with Valencia really are.
Valencia CEO Gourley was asked about whether his club were working on any new signings following the club’s 1-0 defeat to Osasuna on Sunday. While he did not divulge names, he did state which area the La Liga outfit are looking to bolster.
Speaking to DAZN, Gourley said: “I can’t talk about players from other teams. There has been and is a lot of activity in the market. We continue working.

“The team I have is still working, and if opportunities arise to improve the team, we’ll have work to do this week. We're looking at attacking positions."
Daniel Farke would like two more offensive players before deadline day if this is feasible. Another winger could be sought, as a result.
