Newcastle United target Yoane Wissa will not play for Brentford once again this week when the Bees make their bow in this year's Carabao Cup. Brentford face Bournemouth on Tuesday evening, but Wissa will not be involved after manager Keith Andrews once again took the decision to leave the player out of the squad.
Andrews says it is for the same reason which has kept Wissa out of the Premier League fixtures, with too much noise surrounding the player and a possible departure. But while the noise continues, Andrews says he fully expects Wissa to still be at the club next Tuesday after the transfer window has closed.
"There has been no movement in any way and I fully expect Yoane to be here come next Tuesday," said Andrews.
Speaking of Wissa's latest absence, he added; "The cup game will give an opportunity for other players but, equally, we want to take it very, very seriously," said the Bees' head coach.

"For me, it's good timing for some of those players that may have been a bit frustrated not to have played; some of those will get opportunities. The focus is on the group so Yoane won't be involved. Again, that's a decision around what I feel is best for the group."
Brentford are believed to be holding out for at least £50million from Newcastle United for Wissa, a fee the Magpies are not expected to pay.
The 28-year-old has made it clear that he wants to leave Brentford and make the big-money move to Newcastle before the end of the summer transfer window, but the chances of a deal are looking remote.
Eddie Howe's side have already made three offers - the latest believed to be a package worth £40m - for the DR Congo international, but Brentford are standing firm for a higher amount and Andrews' latest assessment of the situation will dampen down even further any hope among supporters of a potential deal.
