Head coach Marc Skinner has provided an update on his squad following the conclusion of pre-season. He hopes to have Melvine Malard (hip) and Leah Galton back in time for the clash with PSV. However, new summer signing Fridolina Rolfö, who joined from FC Barcelona, is unlikely to feature as she is “probably a few weeks away.”
Grace Clinton picked up a minor knock and will be managed carefully, while Rachel Williams and Millie Turner are back on the pitch. Skinner stressed that he does not want to “risk too many people too soon.”

Team News PSV Eindhoven
PSV head coach Roeland ten Berge discussed his squad following the Supercup defeat to FC Twente. With central defenders Gwyneth Hendriks and Veerle Buurman both departing, he confirmed that Aniek Nouwen was brought in to strengthen the back line but remains sidelined with injury. For now, the responsibility falls to Sanne Henschen and Sisca Folkertsma, who Ten Berge believes can “bring real footballing quality” to the defence.
On Nouwen’s recovery, Ten Berge added: “She’s not quite fully back yet. Physically she’s doing well, but with her knees it’s still a matter of building up, especially with strength training. As things stand, she could probably play for half an hour, but we’ll have to weigh that carefully against what’s coming up next week.”
What the coach has to say
PSV will need to bounce back quickly from their Supercup defeat to FC Twente, with the Women’s Champions League qualifier against Manchester United a crucial test. Head coach Roeland ten Berge remained positive despite the setback:
“We think we’re well on our way now to challenge at the top. We did that very well last year. It’s really about very small details. We’ve looked each other in the eye and agreed that we can’t blame one another for anything. But we’ll still need to get a little bit better.”
