FC Porto on keen on Arsenal defender Jakub Kiwior and plan to send a new bid this week. The Portuguese side had a bid rejected by Arsenal for the player in July but are expected to approach once more before next week’s transfer deadline.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has reported that Porto have kept talks active with Arsenal for Kiwior as they plan reenter the race for his signature. Romano added that should Arsenal sell Kiwior and Zinchenko, they could add one more player.

He deputized for Gabriel Magalhaes towards the final stretch of the season, and impressed in Arsenal’s Champions League semi-final triumph over Real Madrid. He looked comfortable against Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior as Arsenal cruised to 3-0 and 2-1 wins.
A left footed defender, he has deputized at left back at times throughout his Arsenal career, and this versatility has seen him gain interest from Napoli, AC Milan, and Crystal Palace. Many believe he has proven himself as a player capable of starting at a big club, and the player may look to gain more playing time ahead of next summer’s world cup.
Porto keen on Kiwior
Porto are believed to have offered around €20m for Kiwior in July, which Arsenal rejected in hopes of a sum closer to €30m. It is yet to be seen if Porto’s new offer will meet Arsenal’s demands, and early reports suggest they could offer a loan proposal with an obligation to buy.
Arsenal are understood to be open to letting Kiwior leave if their demands are met. Crystal Palace are also monitoring the player’s situation, but Porto are currently leading the race.
Kiwior finds himself perhaps even lower on the pecking list this season than he was last season, following the arrival of Cristhian Mosquera from Valencia this summer. He is believed to favour a move outside of the Premier League should he leave Arsenal, and move to Porto could suit him.
He would likely walk into Francesco Farioli’s starting XI and would get to continue playing Champions League football.
