Guerschon Yabusele Reveals Why He Joined Knicks

After a single season with the Philadelphia 76ers, Guerschon Yabusele is moving on to their Eastern Conference rivals, the New York Knicks.

In a new interview with BasketNews, via Tommy Beer, Yabusele talked about why he wanted to suit up with the Knicks.

He believes they have the sort of tenacious attitude that he wants to be a part of.

“When they go on the court together, it’s like they try to kill the other team…. So, for me, it was just natural, because I wanted to be part of this. So, to be able to go there and be part of this is just something special,” Yabusele said in the interview.

Last season, Yabusele produced 11.0 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 2.1 assists for the 76ers, starting in 43 of his 70 games.

This was his first season back in the NBA after years away overseas.

He’s back in the league and wants to remain there, and Yabusele thinks the Knicks are the best team for him.

He has shown he’s an aggressive, driven player, someone who is willing and eager to compete hard against all opponents.

Like many people, Yabusele thinks the Knicks are something special and believes this upcoming season could be their best yet.

They have been steadily improving over the last several seasons and have become a regular part of the playoffs.

The hope is that they are able to go all the way to the NBA Finals in 2025-26, especially with some major injuries disrupting the Eastern Conference.

They have made a few smart additions in the summer, including the acquisition of Yabusele.

Will he be enough to take them to the next level and make them the strongest squad in the East?

It’s clear from this interview that Yabusele is going to play his heart out and attempt to be a beast on the court.
