The fans of the San Francisco 49ers have seen plenty of touchdown catches by a wide receiver in the Owens family before. This time, it was someone else with the initials 'T.O.'
Terique Owens, the son of Hall-of-Fame wide receiver Terrell Owens, hauled in his first ever NFL touchdown catch in the preseason against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Terique - wearing the No. 83, two digits higher than his father's legendary No. 81 - pulled down a 22-yard catch late in the fourth quarter.
He managed to get wide open for Niners backup quarterback Carter Bradley to find him in the end zone.
Terique did not mimick any of his father's famous touchdown celebrations - like pulling out a Sharpie to sign something, grabbing popcorn from a fan, or rushing to midfield to celebrate on the logo.
Instead, he celebrated with his teammates and only briefly did he mimic counting money.

His touchdown was the exclamation point on a 30-23 victory over the team's California rivals.
After the contest, Owens said that he didn't have anything to lose.
“Preseason, that was my time to go out there, let it all and just play,” he said after the game.
After a college career at Florida Atlantic and Missouri State, Terique Owens went undrafted and has not played in a regular season NFL game.
However, he has spent plenty of time with the Niners in training camp and on practice squads.
His father, Terrell, was a third-round pick by the Niners in 1996. Terrell would go on to play for the Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas Cowboys, Buffalo Bills, and Cincinnati Bengals.
Terrell was inducted in the Hall of Fame as part of its class of 2018.
