Newcastle have seen yet another bid for an Alexander Isak replacement rejected.

It has not been an easy window for the Magpies as most Reds fans are already aware.

Benjamin Šeško represented a target but the Slovenian opted for Manchester United.

Ipswich Town’s Liam Delap emerged as another option, but the young striker chose Stamford Bridge over St. James’ Park.

Most recently, Brentford rejected Newcastle’s bid for Yoane Wissa last week, demonstrating how the club is even struggling to sign second-tier targets.

And it’s set to get worse for both Liverpool and Newcastle fans.

The Athletic has reported that the Molineaux side have turned down a first official bid of £50m from Newcastle United for Jorgen Strand Larsen.

Wolves continue to insist the striker is not for sale.

David Ornstein reports:

“Wolves’ stance is that any bid for Strand Larsen this summer will be rejected given he is considered too important to the club and there is not enough time remaining in the transfer window to find a replacement who will be ready to play in the Premier League.”

It was previously reported that Wolves demands a package of at least £60 million before entertaining any offers for the Norwegian forward, who netted 14 Premier League goals last season – setting a club record for a debutant.

“The Newcastle bid consisted of a straight £50m offer with no add-ons included as part of the proposed deal, and followed positive discussions behind the scenes,” Ornstein explained.

Strand Larsen, 25, is viewed by Newcastle as a potential replacement for Callum Wilson, who departed the club this summer following the conclusion of his contract, as opposed to for Alexander Isak.

Strand Larsen’s impressive performances under two different managers have made him a fan favourite at Molineux, and his contract runs until 2029 following a permanent move from Celta Vigo after his successful loan spell.
