Nottingham Forest have been exploring a deal to sign Dilane Bakwa for much of the summer transfer window.
Despite shelling out around £151m on transfers so far this window, Nottingham Forest are still looking to do more business in the remaining seven days.
Nuno Espirito Santo wants three more signings, and Forest have been looking at Jose Angel Carmona from Sevilla.
RB Salzburg midfielder Mads Bidstrup is liked by Nuno, too, however, the Austrian giants want more than the £17m Forest are willing to offer.
Now, there has just been a fresh update on another rumoured target Dilane Bakwa.

When Nottingham Forest will learn their fate with Dilane Bakwa
Nottingham Forest are in talks to sign RC Strasbourg winger Dilane Bakwa, who is valued at around £32m.
Even after signing Omari Hutchinson and Dan Ndoye, Forest chiefs have retained an interest in Bakwa and are looking to close a deal.
Now, according to Sky Sports reporter Lyall Thomas, Forest will find out whether they’ll be able to sign the left-footed winger after Strasbourg’s Conference League play-off against Brondby on Thursday 28th of August.
MORE FOREST STORIES
The French outfit drew the first leg 0-0 at home, so they need to go away to Brondby and win to qualify for the group stages of the competition.
Leeds United are also hopeful of signing Bakwa, however, Forest are likely leading the race given they have the draw of Europa League football.
Dilane Bakwa stats 2024/25
Bakwa enjoyed a very producitve season for Liam Rosenior’s side last term, registering 15 goal involvements.
30 appearances
6 goals
9 assists
The 22-year-old has already laid on two assists in as many outings this term, which has only intensified interest in his signature.
If Forest were to finalise the transfer, they’d have Bakwa, Hutchinson and Ndoye as options on the right flank, which is incredible depth.
Bakwa can also ply his trade off the left, so he’d provide Callum Hudson-Odoi with competition on that side, too.
