Bayern Munich have opened talks to sign Chelsea star Nicolas Jackson, sources have told Football Insider.
The German giants are pushing hard to land the striker, who has been told he can leave Stamford Bridge in the final days of the window.
Aston Villa have been exploring a move for Jackson but have been unable to agree a price with Chelsea.
Now, Bayern are trying to hijack Aston Villa‘s deal in a stunning late twist ahead of next week’s transfer cut-off.

Aston Villa handed Nicolas Jackson blow amid Bayern Munich swoop
Unai Emery has worked previously with Jackson at Villarreal, and with Ollie Watkins linked with a move away from Aston Villa, the club have been exploring a move for a new striker.
Villa’s first two games of the season has yet to see them score with a goalless draw against Newcastle followed up by a 1-0 defeat at Brentford.
Jackson has fallen own the pecking order at Chelsea after Enzo Maresca signed striker Joao Pedro and Liam Delap this summer.

Bayern Munich are looking for a back-up to Harry Kane, who scored a hat-trick in the first Bundesliga match of the season as the Bavarian club thrashed RB Leipzig 6-0.
Liverpool winger Luis Diaz has joined Bayern Munich this summer, whilst the club also held interest in Arsenal forwards Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard.
Bayern will be able to offer Jackson Champions League football, whilst Aston Villa are in the Europa League after narrowly missing out on a spot in Europe’s premier competition on the final day of the season.
Jackson is one player Chelsea are looking to sell in the final days of the transfer window, with the likes of Raheem Sterling and Ben Chilwell likely to depart.
Fulham were interested in Sterling although his wage demands are currently an issue in completing any deal and West Ham have now entered the race for the 30-year-old.
