Jim Harbaugh Has Honest Admission About His Time With 49ers

The Los Angeles Chargers closed out the preseason with an emotional game for Jim Harbaugh.

The Chargers’ head coach squared off against the San Francisco 49ers, the team that gave him his first head coaching opportunity in the NFL.

Asked about that, Harbaugh had nothing but positive things to say about those days.

“I was like a pig in slop, I was the happiest. A lot of top-10 type of things happened in my life here,” Harbaugh said.

With Harbaugh, the Niners made it to one Super Bowl, although they couldn’t defeat Joe Flacco and the Baltimore Ravens.

Harbaugh was there for four seasons before nine years at Michigan.

Some argue that he left college not only because of the Chargers’ interest and because he was already a national champion, but also because of a seemingly inevitable NCAA suspension.

Michigan’s sign-stealing scandal has led to plenty of talk, up to the point where some believe the NFL should suspend him, even though he’s not been found guilty of any wrongdoing in the league.

Whatever the case, Harbaugh’s reputation as a winner and a tactician remains intact.

He’s the type of head coach the Chargers needed to build a winning culture, and expectations are high ahead of his second season in charge.

Maybe he’ll be able to do what he couldn’t in San Francisco, and he’ll finish the job with a Super Bowl championship.
