Raheem Sterling faces an uncertain future at Chelsea, with West Ham one of the interested parties.
The winger has been ostracised in West London, meaning the 30-year-old is free to secure a move away from Stamford Bridge.
Graham Potter is an admirer of Sterling, having managed him at Chelsea, and could be tempted to bring him to the London Stadium.
Several factors make such a move tricky, but Sterling has already made it clear where he wants to play his football this season.

West Ham warned about Raheem Sterling transfer
Sterling wants to remain in London, making a move to the Irons a distinct possibility.
However, West Ham have been warned against signing Sterling, who may not even make Potter’s starting lineup, with the huge fee and wages a real issue.
Now, football finance expert Dan Plumley – speaking exclusively to West Ham Zone – has weighed in on the potential move, with any demands needing to be lowered instantly.
“That’s a lot of risk built into that transfer for that kind of money,” he said.
“I think £20million fee and £300,000 a week wage suggestions, it just feels like too big a risk on that player at this point, and any club there would be taking a bit of a gamble.
“If you are going to do that deal and you’re West Ham, you’re going to want that to come down substantially on both counts.
“It just doesn’t seem feasible for me at those kinds of numbers, for that kind of club ultimately, and I don’t mean that disrespectfully, that’s just the market that they are in, revenue-wise and cost-wise, just seems a bit steep all ends up.”

Raheem Sterling would be disaster waiting to happen for Graham Potter
Given what has transpired at the start of the campaign, it is paramount that the Irons sign well before the window closes.
With that in mind, going for Sterling would be a foolish move for several reasons.
Since leaving Man City, the winger has failed to find any sort of form, hence why he has been shifted back and forth across London.
Furthermore, he would come at an astronomical cost to West Ham, meaning he represents a financial risk too.
With all of the negativity around the East London club, steering clear of Sterling would be wise for all parties.
