Pat Beverley Turns Heads With Paul George Statement

Paul George’s NBA career has been filled with many ups and downs, and some people feel he should have achieved more.

Speaking on his podcast, Patrick Beverley said that George could have helped the Golden State Warriors.

In fact, he claimed that if Klay Thompson had been swapped out for George, the Warriors would have secured more championships.

“If you put Paul George in that role playing as Klay Thompson, playing with [Steph Curry, Draymond Green, Andre Iguodala] at a point — obviously we know Paul George a couple years ago, was in the MVP race. If you substitute those two, and we don’t know, we’re just going off what we think in basketball, I think that Golden State probably wins more championships,” Beverley said.

Beverley was asked which career he’d rather have: Thompson’s or George’s.

He didn’t quite answer that question, but Beverley showed that he believes in George and what he is capable of.

Thompson was always a strong second or third option for the Warriors, but could they have gotten more rings if they had George in the lineup instead?

During his 15 years in the NBA, he has shown a willingness to be a team leader.

He would have accepted a lesser role with the Warriors, but he could have also stepped up when they needed it.

George was indeed in the conversation for MVP years ago, but he never earned that prize.

He also never became a champion, but Beverley thinks he would have been a great fit in Golden State.

He will probably never play for the Warriors, but can George earn a title without them?
