Everton capped off the weekend with the perfect victory at their new home.
David Moyes was delighted to see the Hill Dickinson Stadium opened up with three points on the back of the opening day defeat.
The Toffees can finally look ahead to the rest of the season, with the pressure now off their shoulders over the stadium opening.
A big week awaits Everton in the transfer market as the deadline looms next Monday.
There was some controversy involved in the game, with Stuart Attwell slammed for awarding another penalty against Everton.
The Blues will feel justice was deserved on a day when Jack Grealish earned a lot of praise.
But there was another Everton player who Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer were both left so impressed by.

Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer wowed by Everton’s Jordan Pickford
After receiving backlash last week, Jordan Pickford hit back at Jamie O’Hara, who slammed his penalty cheat sheet.

Pickford saved Danny Welbeck’s penalty to keep his first clean sheet of the season.
Speaking on The Rest is Football podcast, Lineker and Shearer were both left singing the England number one’s praises.
“What a good goalkeeper. He’s so consistent. There always used to be doubts about him because he’s a bit hot-headed at times, but there’s a real calmness, a real confidence about him these days,” said Lineker.
“I hate to say things like this when you’re talking about the England goalkeeper, but he does not make many mistakes.
“All goalkeepers do make mistakes. He will and he has, but very, very few.”
“Also, when you look at his competition, James Trafford getting a move to Man City and having a terrible day [against Spurs],” Shearer added.
Lineker is right, the 31-year-old does make some errors, with Moyes left furious at Pickford’s passing against Leeds last week.
However, time after time, Pickford saves Everton, and his stock as England’s number one only rose after what fans saw from certain other goalkeepers over the weekend.
Pickford boasts a stunning record of saving penalties
This is not the first time in which Pickford has saved a penalty for Everton.
Last season, he saved Anthony Gordon’s at Goodison Park, and Pickford used mind games to save Erling Haaland’s penalty away to Manchester City.
Pickford now holds the third-best penalty record in Premier League history.

The England number one certainly has his ways when it comes to saving penalties, with his tricks coming under scrutiny.
O’Hara urged Pickford’s water bottle tactic to be banned after he used it to no reward against Leeds United.
In true Pickford style, he laughed off the criticism and did it in the best way he possibly could have.
