Leicester City have topped £50m in sales following the exit of full-back James Justin to Leeds United.
The fifth major sale of the transfer window for City, Justin returns to the Premier League in a deal that could be worth £10m.
With Kasey McAteer, Mads Hermansen, Wilfred Ndidi, and Conor Coady already sold, City have made £50m in cash this summer, alleviating concerns around financial rules following their fall into the Championship, where TV revenue falls dramatically.
They’ve also streamlined a bloated squad for manager Marti Cifuentes, who has been keen to reduce the number of senior players down to a more manageable group.
Justin leaves after six years and 169 appearances for the club, and was the third-longest-serving player in the senior squad, behind Hamza Choudhury and Ricardo Pereira.
The 27-year-old’s long service saw him named captain for City’s first two Championship matches this season, with a dead leg preventing him from a farewell outing at Charlton on Saturday.

With Ricardo, Choudhury, Luke Thomas, Victor Kristiansen and Bade Aluko to call upon, City are well-stocked at full-back and Cifuentes won’t feel that he is short of options.
Arriving at City as a 21-year-old who’d made his name coming through the ranks at Luton in League Two and League One, Justin developed quickly in his second campaign at the club, his electric form establishing him as one of the most dynamic full-backs in the Premier League and putting him in England contention.
But he suffered a cruel ACL tear at the height of his game, and then was hit by an Achilles injury not long after his return.
He played little part in the second half of City’s first relegation, but returned to be a key player under Enzo Maresca in the club’s promotion.
Last term, he was criticised heavily early in the campaign with City conceding plenty of goals down his flank, but was one of the team’s more consistently-decent performers in the second half of the season, despite a string of dismal results.
