CHERRIES goalkeeper Alex Paulsen is nearing a loan move to Polish side Lechia Gdansk, the Daily Echo understands.
AFC Bournemouth were weighing up whether or not to send the Kiwi keeper out on loan, with Andoni Iraola saying decisions were yet to be made on his immediate future.
But Paulsen now looks set to head to Poland to play in the Ekstraklasa, the nation’s top league.
The 23-year-old joined the [Cherries](http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/cherries/clubnews/) in June 2024, before immediately going on loan to Black Knight stablemate Aukland FC.
Here, he played every minute as the club won their A-League Premiership in their debut season, before he returned to Dorset for preseason.
Paulsen now looks set to head out on loan to Gdansk for the upcoming campaign.
The Polish side currently sit bottom of the league, having avoided relegation last season by finishing 14th, six points clear of the drop zone, after they were promoted the previous season at the first time of asking.
