Former Newcastle United star Allan Saint-Maximin has wasted no time getting used to new surroundings after leaving Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli this summer.
It is fair to say that the Frenchman has had a tough time after leaving the Magpies in 2023.
Allan Saint-Maximin joined Al-Ahli from Newcastle United two years ago, but failed to make an impact in Saudi Arabia, with injury concerns being a major problem for him.
A loan move to Turkish side Fenerbahce was no better, with Saint-Maximin falling out with Jose Mourinho after the former Premier League great made a scathing claim about his fitness.
In August, Saint-Maximin joined Liga MX side Club America and was met by hundreds of excited fans upon his arrival at the airport. The 28-year-old is hoping to rebuild his career in a different environment, and it looks as though he is set to do exactly that after his impressive debut in North America.

Allan Saint-Maximin scores in his Club America debut
Saint-Maximin is one of the very few players to have played for both Newcastle and a club in Mexico, with Santiago Munoz the only other player on record.
The former Newcastle man cost Club America around £9m, though it is unknown if there was a sell-on clause included, which would see the Magpies bank some of that transfer fee.
All eyes were on the Frenchman as Club America played Atlas in Liga MX, and he made an instant impact off the bench, scoring their club’s third goal in a 4-2 win to keep their unbeaten run going and move their new side up to second in the league table.

Allan Saint-Maximin finally shows his quality away from Newcastle United
After his debut goal, Saint-Maximin is sure to have bagged his place in the starting XI for Club America’s next game.
It is great to see the winger at a new club where he can show himself as the star he deserves to be. The fans have already taken a shine to him, so he can easily become a legend in Mexico.
While he has been away from the club for over two years, Saint-Maximin still misses Newcastle and hopes for nothing but the best for his former club. He also still regularly comments on posts involving Newcastle and his former teammates.
Saint-Maximin congratulated Newcastle for their Carabao Cup win in March and sent his well-wishes to Eddie Howe when he was hospitalised earlier this year.
Newcastle fans will no doubt be keen to keep an eye on how the winger performs at his new club after such an impressive debut.
