Stats Show How Broncos Dominated In Preseason

The Denver Broncos are looking very good right now.

Sean Payton’s team turned some heads in his second year last season, and it looks like he was just getting started.

As pointed out by insider Zac Stevens on X, the Broncos were the most dominant team this preseason.

They ranked No. 1 in total offense, No. 2 in passing offense and No. 3 in rushing.

They also had the No. 1 defense, ranking No. 2 against the pass and the run.

Broncos rankings in the entire NFL this preseason:

Offense: No. 1

Pass offense: No. 2

Run offense: No. 3

Defense: No. 1

Pass defense: No. 2

Of course, this was just the preseason, and those numbers should be taken with a grain of salt, as most of them came against backups and players who may not even make final rosters.

Nonetheless, context matters, and the Broncos are looking to send a message.

They want to let everybody know that they’re for real and approaching this season with a championship mindset.

Earlier in the offseason, Payton said he thought his team had a legitimate chance to make a Super Bowl run, adding that he hasn’t always had that type of feeling about his teams.

They have a stout defense, anchored by reigning Defensive Player of the Year Patrick Surtain II and rising star Nik Bonitto.

Bo Nix looked every bit a franchise quarterback as a rookie, and a full offseason with the offense should only make him better.

The Broncos are ready to take a leap, and if the preseason was an omen of what’s to come, the rest of the league could be in trouble.
