Former Villanova standout Donte DiVincenzo enjoyed his time with the New York Knicks. Whether it was because he got to play with many of his former Villanova teammates, got to live in arguably the greatest city in the world, was able to win, or much more, it doesn't seem like he left on a sour note.
If the Knicks could get DiVincenzo back for a decent package, there's a very good chance they could look to explore that.
Reports indicated at the trade deadline a year ago that the Knicks were interested in doing just that, but the Timberwolves didn't have much of a reason to move on from him, and likely don't right now, either.
Do the Knicks want Donte DiVincenzo back?

Despite that, Dave Holcomb of Sports Illustrated proposed an intriguing idea for the Knicks to land him in a deal involving Miles McBride and Guerschon Yabusele. The trade would only bring back DiVincenzo for the Knicks.
Minnesota Timberwolves receive: Miles McBride and Guerschon Yabusele
New York Knicks receive: Donte DiVincenzo
“With DiVincenzo, the Knicks would have two high-quality guards coming off the bench. The other is Clarkson, who averaged 16.2 points last season.
“DiVincenzo was a fan favorite in New York and fit in very well because of the Villanova connection in the Knicks locker room. Bringing back DiVincenzo should be an excellent move for the chemistry of the team,” [he wrote](https://www.si.com/onsi/fantasy/nba/donte-divincenzo-new-york-knicks-nba-trade-rumors-minnesota-timberwolves-rumors-news).

As the Knicks saw with DiVincenzo on their roster just two years ago, he's one of the better shooters in the NBA.
He can also play off the bench or as a starter when needed, proving that throughout his NBA career.
This would be a tough package to give up, but if the Knicks want to revert to their old ways, it could be a trade that makes sense.
