The confirmed Newcastle team v Liverpool has now been announced.
Newcastle United hoping to get their home campaign off to a perfect start.
Last weekend saw an excellent performance and very good point at Aston Villa, although it should have been all three points, United dominating all the stats, including a shot count of 16 v 3.
A repeat of the Newcastle United performance the last time the two teams met, would be very welcome. United dominant at Wembley and Liverpool lucky to only lose by one.
The last meeting at St James’ Park was a cracking 3-3 draw in December 2024, with no doubt much of the pre-match talk this time set to surround the player who opened the scoring that day.
