Arne Slot has made two changes to his Liverpool lineup for Monday’s clash with Newcastle at St James’ Park, with Alexis Mac Allister confirmed to miss out.
Mac Allister is not involved for the second game of the Reds’ title defence, which has forced Slot into another rejig in midfield.
That also comes with one of his midfielders filling in at right-back, with Alisson starting behind a back four of Dominik Szoboszlai, Ibrahima Konate, Virgil van Dijk and Milos Kerkez.
Ryan Gravenberch is back from suspension and is joined in the middle of the park by Curtis Jones and Florian Wirtz.
Mohamed Salah, Cody Gakpo and Hugo Ekitike make up an unchanged front three.
Slot has the fit-again Conor Bradley to call upon from the bench along with match-winner against Bournemouth, Federico Chiesa, who is the primary attacking option in reserve.
