Quarterback Jalen Hurts has made the “NFL Top 100” for the third year in a row. But after leading the Philadelphia Eagles to the NFL championship for the 2024 season and winning the MVP Award in their 40-22 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX, the former Alabama QB has a worse rating in the 2025 Top 100 than he did in 2023 and 2024.
Coming off his first Super Bowl trip with the Eagles, Hurts rated third in the “NFL Top 100” for 2023, and he was 15th in 2024.
On Monday, the NFL announced Hurts as No. 19 on the “NFL Top 100” for 2025.
In its 15th year, “NFL Top 100” features a ranking for the league’s best 100 players as selected by the players for NFL Films.
In his fourth season as the Eagles’ No. 1 quarterback, Hurts completed 248-of-361 passes for 2,903 yards with 18 touchdowns and five interceptions and ran for 630 yards and 14 touchdowns on 150 carries in 2024. In the postseason, Hurts threw for five touchdowns and ran for five touchdowns.
Using a new digital-first format this year, “NFL Top 100” is being revealed two players at a time every weekday on the social-media platform X until Sept. 1, when the top 10 players for 2025, as chosen by their peers, will be announced on NFL Network at 7 p.m. CDT.
Hurts is the 12th player from an Alabama high school or college to appear in this year’s rankings, with Detroit Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs (Alabama) at No. 27, Green Bay Packers safety Xavier McKinney (Alabama) at No. 30, Houston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins (Clay-Chalkville) at No. 32, Packers running back Josh Jacobs (Alabama) at No. 33, Houston Texans defensive end Will Anderson Jr. (Alabama) at No. 46, Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill (West Alabama) at No. 47, Jacksonville Jaguars defensive end Josh Hines-Allen (Abbeville) at No. 63, Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix (Pinson Valley, Auburn) at No. 64, Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jerry Jeudy (Alabama) at No. 82, New York Jets defensive tackle Quinnen Williams (Wenonah, Alabama) at No. 87 and Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (Alabama) at No. 91.
