The Detroit Lions have a lot to prove this season.
They enter this year after a disappointing playoff loss to the Washington Commanders.
That, plus their already stacked roster, made it quite difficult for any player on the outside looking in to make the team.
With that in mind, Dan Campbell’s wife, Holly, took to social media to share a heartfelt message for all the players ahead of the roster deadline.
“This is the hard part. Thinking of every single player chasing their dreams and the people who love and cheer them on. Making the team or getting cut doesn’t change your worth. It just changes your next step. Keep going!!!” Holly Campbell posted on Instagram.

That was a classy move, and it speaks volumes about the way the head coach approaches his job and his players.
Not so long ago, people mocked Dan Campbell for being emotional, but it only showed how much he cares.
That’s why his players would run through a wall for him.
He isn’t a perfect head coach by any means, and his decision-making and recklessness have cost him multiple times.
Then again, that’s also why his players love him so much.
He has blind confidence in them, sometimes to a fault.
He’s been instrumental in developing a winning culture for a long-struggling franchise, and he deserves plenty of credit for its massive turnaround.
The Lions will enter the season with virtually the same team they had last season.
As for those who don’t make it, they’ll have to try their luck on the practice squad or somewhere else in the league.
