Alexander Isak has meeting with Newcastle co-owner and PIF delegation with contract offer

**A report from the Daily Mail claims that Alexander Isak has had a meeting with Newcastle co-owner Jamie Reuben and a PIF delegation. They visited him at his home in an attempt to get him to stay on Tyneside.**

Liverpool vs Newcastle United is already underway but the latest on Isak is that he has had a face to face meeting with the PIF leadership, who are desperate to see him stay at St. James Park.

The [Daily Mail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-15032609/Newcastle-delegation-alexander-isak-talks-Liverpool-target.html) reports: _“The club want the Swedish striker to return to training and playing for the Magpies after he went on strike in a bid to force a move to Liverpool. It is understood that a new contract would be part of discussions, if Isak committed himself to the club this season.”_

For Liverpool, Isak returning to training would likely be a death knell to their hopes of bringing him to Anfield this summer.

A new contract, likely one to put him up there with the highest paid players in the Premier League, is already on offer at Anfield so it remains to be seen if Newcastle’s offer is enticing enough.

Newcastle say that they have “been unable to satisfy the conditions of a potential sale”

According to the Mail, Newcastle are not willing to sell Isak under present circumstances.

They report: _“The 25-year-old has so far made clear his desire to move on, but Newcastle have been unable to satisfy the conditions of a potential sale – which would be two strikers brought in and a British record offer from Liverpool. They have signed no strikers and have rejected Liverpool’s only offer of £110m.”_
