Manchester United are winless after two Premier League matches having been held to a 1-1 draw by Fulham on Sunday.
The Red Devils had gone ahead at Craven Cottage courtesy of an own goal, but Emile Smith-Rowe’s late strike earned the Cottagers a point and denied Ruben Amorim’s side a first victory of the season.
United sit 16th in the top flight table after two matches, and Amorim will expect to see his side improve when they host Burnley at Old Trafford next weekend.
In the meantime, it has emerged that the Manchester giants are having second thoughts about a move for a Bundesliga star.
As per GiveMeSport, Man United are not convinced that Stuttgart’s Angelo Stiller is a suitable alternative to transfer target Carlos Baleba.
United have been heavily linked with a move for Brighton and Hove Albion star Baleba, but they have been forced to assess alternative options as the Seagulls are unwilling to sell the star this summer.

Their search had lead them to Stiller, but the report claims that United do not believe he fits the bill as an alternative.
The report claims that the Red Devils will only attempt to sign the Stuttgart midfielder if either Kobbie Mainoo or Bruno Fernandes depart Old Trafford before the end of the current window.
Stiller has been in fine form for Stuttgart over the past couple of years, having joined from fellow German side Hoffenheim in 2023.
In total he has played 83 times across all competitions, and his impressive displays have seen him linked with a move to a big European club.
The Germany international has a release clause of around £32 million included in his current deal, which suggests that United could sign the midfielder if they decided to do so.
