The Philadelphia Eagles are heading into the NFL season looking to defend their Super Bowl title after defeating the Kansas City Chiefs.

Philadelphia won the Super Bowl last season over the Chiefs after a postseason run where they defeated the Green Bay Packers, Los Angeles Rams and Washington Commanders.

As they enter a new season, the quarterback room added a new name via the draft.

Kyle McCord, who previously played college football at Ohio State and Syracuse, was drafted by the Eagles in the sixth round.

Despite a good camp from McCord, he was released by Philadelphia just weeks before the NFL season.

“The #Eagles are releasing rookie QB Kyle McCord, per a league source,” per Jordan Schultz. “The 6th-round pick out of Syracuse had a good training camp, but Philly already has 3 QBs on its roster.”

The Philadelphia Eagles will seemingly enter the 2025 season with Jalen Hurts, Tanner McKee and Sam Howell.

Philadelphia recently traded for Howell in the offseason, adding the NFL journeyman to the roster just weeks before the beginning of their Super Bowl defense season.

Last season with the Eagles, Hurts posted 18 touchdowns and 2,903 yards with a 68.7 completion percentage. Hurts also added 14 touchdowns and 630 yards on the ground.
