Manchester United's amazing away record against Fulham came to an end with Emile Smith Rowe's close-range finish cancelling out a Rodrigo Muniz own goal.
It was the first time since 2010 that United failed to secure three points at Craven Cottage.
Ruben Amorim made one change from the team that started against Arsenal with Amad Diallo replacing Diogo Dalot.
The Red Devils began the game brightly with Matheus Cunha hitting the post and Bruno Fernandes stinging the gloves of Bernd Leno.
The two players had even better opportunities later in the half with the Brazilian denied a brilliant solo-goal by the German goalkeeper just before Fernandes failed to convert from the penalty spot.
In the second period, United found the breakthrough with Leny Yoro's header deflecting off Muniz and into the back of the net, however Smith Rowe came off the bench to grab a point for the hosts.
Amorim's side came close to a winner, but Harry Maguire saw his headed effort go narrowly wide.
Here are the key takeaways from the contest.
Cunha continues to impress
Despite more disappointment for United, there were some positives. Cunha was a bright spark for the visitors throughout the contest.
Within the first few minutes, the number 10 drove through midfield before unleashing a powerful effort that sailed just over the bar. Minutes later, he was found by Mason Mount and this time his effort clipped the post.
Cunha also created a chance for Fernandes in the first period, before bringing down Atlay Bayindir's goal-kick and almost scoring a magical goal. His influence in the second half reduced with Amorim's men tiring and dropping deeper.
Tactical issues persist
Although the Red Devils have played some better football this season, they have been unable to pick up their first three points. Furthermore, many of the tactical issues in Amorim's 3-4-3 system still remain.
The main concern revolves around a lack of balance in the team with Fernandes and Casemiro often overrun in the middle of the park. Diallo had a miserable time at right-wing-back and like the skipper, he prefers to play as a number 10.
In the post-match interviews Fulham player Alex Iwobi and manager Marco Silva explained how they exploited United's press and made sure they had a numerical advantage in midfield.
Leny Yoro shows his importance
Yoro has got better and better every time he puts on a red and white jersey. Since moving to Old Trafford last season, the Frenchman has developed brilliantly and he has now cemented his position in the first-team setup.
Similar to his performance against Arsenal, Yoro dominated his duels and was composed on the ball. He made numerous key interceptions and tackles.
His standout moment came in the second half when he chased Muniz down and made a last-ditch tackle to prevent the striker from getting a shot off. Yoro also thought he got his first Premier League goal, however his effort was deemed off-target and Muniz was awarded an unfortunate own-goal.
Kobbie Mainoo concern
While there are concerns surrounding United's inability to convert chances, Kobbie Mainoo's future at the club remains a bigger issue. The youngster had a breakthrough campaign two seasons ago, but has struggled to kick on under Amorim.
Mainoo struggled with injuries last season, but many expected the midfielder to kick on this season. However, Amorim has refused to bring on the youngster in both of United's opening Premier League games.
The Portuguese head-coach instead opted to bring on the out of form Manuel Ugarte and has started Mason Mount ahead of him. The 20-year-old has a unique skill-set and many fans believe he should have been used in both fixtures.
Mainoo is currently out of favour and Amorim even admitted that he is competing for a position with the United captain. With the transfer deadline fast approaching, Mainoo will surely be considering his future at the club, however it is imperative that Amorim finds a place for the academy graduate.
