Rio Ngumoha came off the bench to secure Liverpool all three points against Newcastle United. The Reds had raced into a two-goal lead thanks to goals from Ryan Gravenberch and Hugo Ekitike.
And even though they were down to 10-men after Anthony Gordon was sent off in first-half stoppage time, the Magpies restored parity when Bruno Guimaraes and Will Osula struck. But deep into stoppage time Ngumoha finished past Nick Pope to send Liverpool’s supporters and players wild.
However, one player who was not involved was Alexis Mac Allister, who missed the game due to a minor fitness issue.
But watching at home, the World Cup winner took to Instagram to send a message to his team-mates during the first-half.
He wrote: "Come on the boys.”

Speaking after the game, Reds boss Arne Slot said: "I'm not too sure it was a football match today. It was set-piece after set-piece, long- throw after long-throw.
“We didn't collapse and stood strong. We didn't play well enough on the ball. I don't think there was so much open play.
"It was a great goal for a 16-year-old. Rio [Ngumoha] can finish so well for his age. I did hear someway say afterwards in the dressing room he would have taken a first touch but he is so confident. For his age he is a really good finisher."
While Newcastle boss Eddie Howe said: "I think it's tough to play against 11 men, especially against a team with the quality of Liverpool. The first goal was key, it gave us belief, it got us back into the match and we always felt if the margin was one we'd be able to get something from the match."
