Dylan Raiola Drops Priceless 1-Liner About Patrick Mahomes Comparison

Nebraska Cornhuskers quarterback Dylan Raiola has become one of the more popular signal callers in college football. Since bursting onto the scene, Raiola has often been compared to Kansas City Chiefs superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

First and foremost, Raiola has a very similar look to Mahomes. He also has adopted some of the same celebrations as Mahomes and his play style is reminiscent as well.

Raiola obviously has a long way to go before being close to Mahomes on the field. However, there is no denying his talent and potential for Nebraska.

Last season as a freshman, Raiola completed 67.1 percent of his pass attempts for 2,819 yards, 13 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions.

While the numbers weren't quite what fans were hoping to see, there was plenty to be optimistic about. Heading into the upcoming 2025 season, Raiola is expected to be a potential breakout candidate.

Due to all of the comparisons that Raiola has seen between himself and Mahomes, he took the opportunity to speak out with an epic one-liner, as shared by Yahoo Sports on X.

"I can't get mad at God for making me look like him," Raiola said.

In comparison to his first college season to Mahomes, Raiola was better in some aspects and not as good in others. During the 2014 season with Texas Tech, Mahomes completed 56.8 percent of his passes for 1,547 yards, 16 touchdowns, and four interceptions.

It will be interesting to see how Raiola's second season with the Cornhuskers unfolds. Nebraska is a team to keep an eye on as a possible breakout candidate as well.

Matt Rhule led the Cornhuskers to a 7-6 overall record last season. That wasn't where the program wanted to finish, but their 3-6 conference record came back to haunt them.

They were able to finish off the 2024 season with a 20-15 win over Boston College in the Bad Boy Mowers Pinstripe Bowl.

With much bigger expectations and hopes entering the 2025 campaign, Nebraska will be leaning heavily on Raiola to take a step forward. He has received a lot of hype heading into the upcoming season and now it's time for him to prove that hype correct.
