Broncos have waived WR Kyrese Rowan

According to Parker Gabriel of The Denver Post, the Denver Broncos have waived wide receiver Kyrese Rowan. The undrafted rookie, who signed with Denver after a productive final season at Utah State, spent training camp and the preseason fairly down the depth chart.

However, he was a guy that popped when watching that final game against the New Orleans Saints and it wasn’t just because of his hair. He certainly had the speed and ability to play at this level. He could be a guy that sees interest for the practice squad once he clears waivers.

Rowan wrapped his college career with 44 receptions for 526 yards and three touchdowns in 2024, adding eight kickoff returns for 188 yards to showcase his speed and versatility. Before that, he played at the University of Utah, accumulating 38 catches for 681 yards and five scores as a senior, plus rushing and defensive contributions earlier in high school and college. The Broncos signed him to compete for slot receiver and return roles, drawn to his 5’10”, 185-pound frame and quickness.
