Chelsea Set For UEFA Champions League 2025/26 Draw

Chelsea are expected to be in pot 1 for the upcoming UEFA Champions League group stage draws. The world champions will be given a preferential seeding in pot I in recognition of their recent success in the competition, with the Blues winning the Champions League as recently as 2021.

As a result of being seeded in pot 1, they could avoid clashes in the group stage against the likes of Real Madrid, Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Liverpool, Paris Saint-Germain, Inter Milan, Borussia Dortmund, and Barcelona, all of whom boast a UEFA coefficient north of 100 due to their historic success in the competition.

The fixture list for the UEFA Champions League group phase will be drawn on August 28th at the UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland. Chelsea will hope to add a third title in the competition to their recent Club World Cup success with strong performances that lead them to the final at the Puskas Arena in Budapest.

Chelsea Working to Sell Nicolas Jackson This Summer

According to a report by Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson is being hotly pursued by Aston Villa, Newcastle United, and Bayern Munich. The Senegalese striker is expected to leave the club this summer following the arrivals of João Pedro and Liam Delap.

Aston Villa hope to reunite the striker with Unai Emery, with whom he had a good relationship during their time together at Villarreal. The Magpies are keen to bring in a new striker following their inability to strengthen that position amid Alexander Isak’s desire to leave the club and see the striker as a quality, Premier League-tested option for their team.

Bayern will hope their pedigree and prestige give them an edge in negotiations for the player. The Bavarian club has already reached out to Chelsea for a club-to-club discussion, but it remains to be seen how the forward’s future will be resolved at the end of the transfer window.
