Marc Cucurella Completes Chelsea Contract Renewal

Chelsea star Marc Cucurella has revealed that he has agreed to a new contract with the club. The Spanish defender has been in fabulous form for the Blues recently and has been rightly rewarded for his performances by the club.

Speaking in a recent interview, the Euro 2024-winning defender said:

“Yes, it’s done, we already did it. I’m very happy. The club has given me confidence; they’ve shown it to me, and I’m very happy to be here. Hopefully, this can be a great year.”

Cucurella joined the Blues from Premier League rivals Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer of 2022 for a reported €65.3 million. He is currently contracted to the Blues until the summer of 2028 and has helped the side to one UEFA Conference League title and the Club World Cup, with eight goals and ten assists in 115 games.

Cucurella Urges Chelsea to Build on 5-1 Win Over West Ham

Cucurella has urged the team to build on their recent win over West Ham United. The Blues are currently unbeaten in the league and look keen to maintain their impressive run, with 36 games left to play in the league and other competitions still to contend for.

Speaking about what needs to be done in a recent interview, the 27-year-old defender said:

“We’re on the right path, but we must continue like this, without relaxing, because it’s a long season, and we can achieve some important things.”

Trevoh Chalobah has also insisted that the Blues have the players they need to clinch more trophies:

“I think definitely. By having a strong squad like that, with Champions League and Premier League, in different positions then everyone is going to be important to achieve something big.”

The Blues will be eager to build on their dominant 5-1 win over the Hammers and secure another victory when they face Fulham in their next league game. Chelsea currently sits in fourth place with four points, trailing Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, and Liverpool by two points after two games played.
