Brian Baldinger Spreads Tez Johnson Love

Tez Johnson added another fan to his crowd of boosters over the weekend.
While breaking down tape of the Bucs’ final worthless preseason game from Saturday night, Brian Baldinger of NFL Network came away with a clear vision.
Seeing Johnson catch all eight of his targets for 58 yards and a touchdown against Buffalo, Baldinger is convinced. Johnson is a playah.
“The guy just makes plays,” Baldinger said on his Twitter account, breaking down tape of Johnson. “That’s what he does. That’s who he is.”
Johnson’s shifty ability belies his 40 time, Baldinger said.
“He didn’t run very fast at the combine, right?” Baldinger said. “But the guy is just a player.
“There is a roll for Tez Johnson on this team. … You have to root for Tez Johnson.”
Baldinger is. And Joe is so happy to see that Johnson is destroying the narrative of a 40 time. It’s such an overblown stat (except for offensive linemen, believe it or not). If football was all about running fast in a straight line, every dude who ran sprints in the Olympics would be on an NFL roster.
The game is football, not track. That’s why Joe pays zero attention to the glorified indoor track practice each winter in Indianapolis.
