Chelsea have several players they want to offload before the September 1 transfer deadline next week

Chelsea have lots of outgoing transfer business they are keen to wrap up before the September 1 transfer deadline.

One star on his way out of West London is striker Nicolas Jackson, who has been deemed surplus to requirements after Chelsea signed Liam Delap and Joao Pedro this summer.

Jackson has been the subject of interest from Newcastle United, Aston Villa and Bayern Munich and his exit before the September 1 transfer deadline feels inevitable.

Pedro started Chelsea’s opening game of the campaign as they drew 0-0 with Crystal Palace, with Delap coming on for the former Brighton man. Against West Ham, Enzo Maresca opted to play the two men together with Delap leading the line and Pedro in behind him.

Jackson was not in the squad for either game.

And then let's see if some other top clubs around Europe can be interested in Nikolas Jackson, because I think that situation would be interesting for Jackson in the next days.”

Chelsea want £80m for Jackson but would accept an offer in the region of £60m. Newcastle are interested in Jackson amid uncertainty over Alexander Isak’s future at the club while Villa are looking to bolster their attacking options after starting the season with a 0-0 draw against Newcastle and 1-0 loss at Brentford.

Bayern do have Harry Kane as their chief striking option, so Jackson would likely play a back-up role to the former Tottenham man.
