Chelsea’s owners have agreed a never-before-seen deal for Brighton star Julio Enciso.
Recruitment expert Mick Brown told Football Insider in June Brighton planned to accept offers for Enciso this summer.
The Athletic reported on 20 August BlueCo – the group that owns Chelsea and Strasbourg – have agreed to sign the 21-year-old midfielder.
The news outlet said personal terms are in place between the consortium and Enciso, who is expected to initially spend time with Strasbourg but is viewed as a long-term Chelsea player.
The Paraguay international, who joined Brighton on loan from Libertad in 2022, spent the second half of last season on loan at Ipswich Town.

BlueCo has exploited loopholes in the rules to avoid Chelsea being hit with a profit and sustainability (PSR) breach since taking over from Roman Abramovich in May 2022.

The consortium, which is spearheaded by Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital, has spent around £1.5billion on transfers at Stamford Bridge over the past three years.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the Enciso deal, Borson said: “I think there are a few interesting things to say about it.
“First of all, it’s interesting that Chelsea themselves have portrayed this as a BlueCo deal.
“Now, not many multi-club organisations have kind of framed their own deal as a multi-club deal, so this is the first time that a club has been quite willing to frame it that way.
“The core of it is pretty simple because Chelsea’s structure is still pretty simple.
“They want the player. They don’t have a place for him this season at Chelsea.
“They don’t want the cost of him on Chelsea’s books, and they’re effectively parking him off at Strasbourg for a season and he develops at Strasbourg.”

Chelsea to accelerate Xavi Simons deal after Christopher Nkunku exit
In terms of a potential incoming at Stamford Bridge, Brown told Football Insider Chelsea will accelerate their move to sign Xavi Simons using the money from the anticipated sale of Christopher Nkunku.
In what has been another busy summer in west London, Enzo Maresca remains keen to strengthen his squad with work ongoing behind the scenes.
The Blues have picked up four points from their opening two Premier League games this season.
