Chelsea have endured a mixed start to the 2025/26 Premier League campaign, however one of their players is performing at a level matched by only one other individual so far.
All of the disappointment of the opening day draw against Crystal Palace was put to bed when the Blues struck five against West Ham, with five different players getting involved in the goals.
Joao Pedro returned to the form many had already seen during the Club World Cup, getting Chelsea back level before setting up two more goals later in the game.
Brazilian media were impressed by Pedro and Estevao Willian, who was called upon minutes before kick-off due to an injury to Cole Palmer in the warmup.

Moises Caicedo the second-highest rated player in the Premier League this season
There was also a rare goal by Moises Caicedo for Chelsea fans to celebrate against their arch-rivals, with him remaining one of their most crucial players in the opening two games.
While Enzo Fernandez was off the pace against Palace, he performed well against West Ham, however consistency from the Ecuador international has been a real plus.
As per SofaScore’s ratings for players throughout the campaign so far, Caicedo is currently the second-highest rated player in the rankings, alongside Cody Gakpo.
Only Tottenham’s Richarlison has a rating higher than the midfielder for players who have started both games this season, while Pedro sits in sixth in the rankings.
