'Let's be honest' - Hurzeler calls for improvement as Albion get back to training

Fabian Hurzeler will call for honesty from [Albion](https://www.theargus.co.uk/sport/albion/) as they look to ignite a faltering start to the season.

The Seagulls have one point from six in the Premier League and have the counter-attraction of the Carabao Cup tie at Oxford tomorrow.

Hurzeler believes they should have more than one point from six so far but said he would remain positive about their efforts in the 2-0 defeat at Everton.

He told The Argus that his positivity would kick in even before he left Hill Dickinson Stadium.

The Seagulls boss added: “When you really look at the game, I think we started well

“We had two big chances in the first 20 minutes.

“Everton came out of nowhere after a throw-in.

“Then again we hit the post, we had a big chance with Matt O’Riley before half-time.

“We could easily score goals and I think then the dynamic of the game is completely different.

“But that is not the fact. The result says something else and, in the end, the result doesn’t lie.

“We have to be honest with ourselves that in those moments where you have to score goals, where you have to defend your own goal, we have to do it better.”

Hurzeler will speak to the media today ahead of a cup tie which is likely to see him make changes.

Summer signings Diego Coppola and Olivier Boscagli have remained on the bench so far and could get an opportunity while  Jason Steele is likely to play in goal.
