Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson looks down on the pitch
Bayern-bound? Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson
Aston Villa’s pursuit of Nicolas Jackson appears to have hit the rocks amid claims the Chelsea striker is on the verge of joining Bayern Munich.
The 24-year-old has been told he can leave Stamford Bridge, but a reunion with seems to have been scuppered by the German champions.
According to , Jackson has already agreed terms on a loan move with Bayern, who are now negotiating a fee with Chelsea.
That has been the stumbling block for Villa. With this summer, they were already struggling to find the loan fee the Londoners are demanding for Jackson, the Senegal international given his first big break by Emery while they were both at Villarreal.
It is understood for a player signed two years ago for around £30m, but it appears Bayern are ready to cough up.

It had seemed they had cooled their interest in Jackson, who scored 10 times for Chelsea last season but is no longer needed at Stamford Bridge after the arrival of Liam Delap and Joao Pedro. Bayern are said to be disinterested in a permanent deal, something which Chelsea would prefer.
Their director of sport, Max Eberl, had reportedly said Jackson was no longer an option for them earlier this week, but Bild are now claiming Bayern board member Uli Hoeness and other club officials have confirmed the loan agreement as a "plan b" after failed attempts to recruit Germany international forward Nick Woltemade from VfB Stuttgart.
Bild report: "Jackson was already a topic of discussion in Munich at the beginning of the month. At the time, it was rumoured that he could join from Chelsea if their desired striker Nick Woltemade couldn't be signed. The Senegalese still has a contract in London until 2033."
Is Jackson that big a loss?
