Rio Ferdinand is convinced that all Fulham staff members, fans and players were on the same wavelength over one thing from the Manchester United match on Sunday.
Ruben Amorim and his men collected their first Premier League point of the season on the weekend after the Red Devils’ visit to Craven Cottage to face Fulham.
Manchester United lost to Arsenal at Old Trafford in their opening Premier League match of the 2025-26 campaign ahead of their encounter with Marco Silva’s men.
Red Devils boss Ruben Amorim watched from the technical dugout in Sunday’s Premier League clash as United took the lead over Fulham in the second half.
Fulham conceded to United in the 58th minute after Bryan Mbeumo’s corner found Leny Yoro, whose headed effort took a major deflection off Rodrigo Muniz.
However, Marco Silva’s side continued to chase an equaliser at Craven Cottage and Fulham eventually cancelled out United’s second-half opener in the 1-1 draw.

Rio Ferdinand’s reaction to Man Utd’s Premier League performance vs Fulham at Craven Cottage says it all
Manchester United switched off late in the second half and substitute Emile Smith Rowe capitalised on the opportunity by netting the crucial equaliser for Fulham.
The Red Devils and Fulham shared the Premier League points at Craven Cottage and United manager Ruben Amorim is still searching for his side’s first win this season.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Rio Ferdinand admitted that United had sent a statement of intent in Sunday’s encounter with their strong start to the match.
The 46-year-old United legend suggested that even Fulham’s players and fans must have been baffled by what they were seeing from the Red Devils in the first half.
“We were dominating the life out of Fulham, scaring the life out of them,” he said on Rio Ferdinand Presents.
“I would have thought every Fulham fan, player and member of staff would have been going, ‘What’s happening here? This isn’t the Manchester United we were expecting to see,’ and at those moments there, the best teams punish the weak.
“They put their [hands] on their throat and say, ‘Stay there,’ and that’s what we didn’t do. We let them off the hook.”

Rio Ferdinand identifies potential Man Utd issue after the 1-1 Premier League draw against Fulham
Ferdinand has claimed that United failed to capitalise on their early dominance and the Red Devils allowed Marco Silva’s men to find their footing in Sunday’s draw.
The former TNT Sports pundit added that United’s players could still be experiencing ‘fatigue’ from the Red Devils’ underwhelming 2024-25 Premier League campaign.
“We went 1-0 up, but we weren’t the team in the ascendancy at that time; we weren’t the team dominating,” Ferdinand continued.
“Fulham were back in the game and it kind of came against the run of play a little bit.
“But I look at the team and it feels, at the minute, that if we don’t go and take the game and score a goal when we’re doing well, it can destabilise us when the other team starts getting into the game.
“I understand why that is because there’s a lack of confidence in the players based on last season and there’s still a hangover from some of the things that went on last season.”
Amorim’s United side are now 16th in the Premier League table after their 1-0 defeat to Arsenal at Old Trafford and the 1-1 draw with Fulham away from home.
