Forest to discover Europa League opponents this week
Draw to take place on Friday at 12pm BST
Details will be confirmed on our website and app
Nottingham Forest will discover our UEFA Europa League opponents on Friday 29 August when the draw for the league phase of the competition will be made in Monaco.
The Reds’ will compete in European football for the first time since 1995/96 after achieving our highest points tally and Premier League finish since 1994/95 last season.
The draw will get underway at 12pm BST. The full details of the teams we will face will be confirmed once the draw has taken place.
The league phase of the competition will be the same as that which was introduced last season. The competing 36 teams will be split into four pots based on the club's European coefficient ranking.
Teams will be drawn manually using physical balls, before an automated software will determine each side’s eight opponents.
Each team will face two clubs from each pot with one of each fixture being played home and away.
Teams from the same country will not be drawn against each other and each side can only play teams from the same country twice.
Forest are yet to be placed into a pot, but this will be confirmed ahead of the draw.
