During the coverage of Getafe’s clash with Sevilla on Monday night, both the manager and the club president spoke about the future of Wolves target Christantus Uche.
Getafe’s 2-1 win against Sevilla wasn’t the main topic of conversation from Monday night’s La Liga action. Rather, it was the presumably imminent sale of one of the team’s stars, Christantus Uche.

Uche has been a target for Wolves all summer, but they have stepped up their pursuit this week amid Jorgen Strand Larsen exit rumours.
It was reported Wolves have agreed to a fee and personal terms for the 22-year-old, but the deal has stalled as AC Milan consider a counter-offer for Uche.
And it seems the confusion isn’t just for Wolves, as the messaging within the Spanish club is equally unclear.
Getafe club president Angel Torres says Wolves target Christantus Uche is about to be sold
Ahead of last night’s La Liga clash, club president Angel Torres was very clear and what must happen with Uche.
He says about Uche: “I’m forced to sell him, I have no other choice. Tomorrow he undergoes medicals and the deal is signed”

While Torres doesn’t mention to whom Uche would be moving, you would hope he is talking about Vitor Pereira’s side.
The last update from Milan was that they were considering a counteroffer, but had not yet made one. This could be good news.
But the manager’s comments on Uche don’t align with those of the club.
Getafe manager Jose Bordalas is against Christantus Uche leaving
While the message from above seems to be that Uche has to go, their manager, Jose Bordalas, seems to have other ideas.
After the game, his verdict on his attacker was quite different, saying: “Let’s hope he doesn’t leave. I’m against him leaving because he’s a vital player.
“It gets harder every day, and we can’t start from scratch every season. If he leaves, it’s a huge problem. I understand the situation; we can’t be at the mercy of that.”
The manager and the club president seem to be on different pages regarding Uche. Naturally, you would be more inclined to take the word of Torres, who has the final say.
But it just begs the question; if the manager sees Uche as such a vital piece, combined with how unclear the club have been to Wolves in the process, is there a chance something is happening behind the scenes in an effort to keep the Nigerian and make up the money elsewhere?
We’ll just have to wait and see.
