Galatasaray have reached an agreement with Manchester City to sign Manuel Akanji but are waiting for the defender to make a decision on his future.
That’s according to journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, who reports that Akanji is expected to make a decision on the move to Turkey in the next 48 hours.
The journalists explains that Galatasaray are pushing for transfers and have reached an agreement with Monaco for Wilfred Singo and Manchester City for Akanji.
They have submitted final offers to both players and are now awaiting for a response from both. On Akanji’s part, they are expecting a response within the next 48 hours.
The Switzerland defender has not yet made a decision on his future but will seemingly now be pressed to do so as the agreement is in place between Galatasaray and Manchester City.
The 30-year-old has been linked with a move away from the Etihad all summer and hasn’t made an appearance in either of Manchester City’s two games in the Premier League so far. He was on the bench for the win over Wolves and left out of the squad for the defeat to Tottenham.
Now Galatasaray are offering him a way out and have presented their offer, with the defender expected to reply within the next 48 hours.
