There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Trabzonspor are showing interest in Arsenal midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga.
The Super Lig side are keen to bring in a central midfielder before the transfer window closes and they’ve also been linked with Crystal Palace’s Daichi Kamada.
Karadenizde Sonnokta report on Trabzonspor’s pursuit for the Arsenal player and state contract has been made.
The Turkish club are said to have reached an ‘agreement in principle’ to sign the 25-year-old and the Belgian is keen on the move to the Black Sea club. According to the regional newspaper, Trabzonspor are looking to loan Sambi Lokonga, with an option to purchase.
Again, Crystal Palace’s Kamada is still reportedly an option for the Trabzon club after links with the Japan international in recent weeks. Last week, we covered reports Trabzonspor were in transfer talks to sign Kamada and were close to getting an agreement.
Spanish midfielder Cameron Puertas has also been linked, with reports he’s trying to get a move away from Al-Qadsiah.
Last season, Sambi Lokonga was loaned to Sevilla where he made 23 appearances in all competitions. He’s contracted to the Gunners until June 2026.
